About us
Pannon Paprika Ltd. was founded in 2011 by some like-minded gardeners with many years of producer history and using the same production system. All of our gardeners use biological plant protection to produce vegetables, mainly white peppers and table tomatoes, associated with greenhouse and foil tented production technology, in many cases geothermal heating. As a sales and purchasing community of our members, we are developing into increasingly important players in the Hungarian market every year.
In June 2011, our company was declared a vegetable producer group by the Ministry of Rural Development, and with effect from 1 January 2016 we received recognition as a fruit and vegetable producer organisation.
Our Members
We have more than 20 gardener members, their professional dedication and success are form the basis of our organization.
Our organization and our gardeners, who provide our production base, produce in and around Mórahalmon, the center of the „Homokhátság”, our membership gives us the largest part of our products sales. The primary goal of all of us is to put high-quality, 100% Hungarian vegetables on the table of as many Hungarian consumers as possible through the tenacious, thorough and careful work of our gardeners.
Our products
Pepper
The pepper varieties we grow are predominantly white sweet peppers. Their most common names are green, Hungarian, lecsó or T.V., i.e. fill peppers. Its skin is yellowish-white, its meat is tasty, it has a high content of vitamin C, it also contains vitamins A and B. It is a typical Hungarian vegetable and can be used in many different ways. One of the varieties of Cecei peppers is already Hungarikum.
Tomato
We grow premium bunched tomatoes, which are flavorful, high in sugar and can be store onshelf for longer time. It is characterized by bright, dark red skin, high brix and lycopene content. It is one of the most important vegetable crops in the world and its many varieties are consumed in many forms.
Commercial engagement
Our company seated and packaging facility are located in Mórahalom, where GlobalG.A.P. products are packaged and transported in accordance with the strict requirements of the international quality system.
We can offer a variety of packaging. We have the option of packing in pieces, kilograms, trays, nylons and fishnets according to the needs of our customers. We also have a number of packaging machines at our premises.
Pepper package assortment also contains 3 pieces of 5-piece, 350 gr, 500 gr, 2 kg white and 500 gr, 750 gr, 1 kg fishnet mesh peppers. Several of our products have the Hungarian Product trademark.
Delivery to our customers is carried out by our own transport vehicles with refrigerators.
Proving the satisfaction of our customers, our company receives many e-mails and written letters describing how succulent and tasty the Hungarian peppers and tomatoes we grow are. We have received lot of feedback that customers are looking for products packaged with our trademark.
Biological plant protection
Biological plant protection is used by our gardeners, in partnership with nature to make our vegetables healthier and safer food. There is no chemical plant protection, instead we use only plant extracts of natural origin, pheromones, plant methods using natural enemies of pathogens, pheromones traps to capture any pest insects. Bumblebees do the pollination job in plant-house crops.
